I wake up in the morning, and often at night to write; whether  it’s poetry, visions of a future illustration, or a new project. It is my desire to write and illustrate stories of virtue to disavow the echoes of darkness. I am an illustrator, I love the challenge of visualizing characters and seeing how they will fit into their storyline.
I had the privilege of completing my second MFA degree in Illustration at Savannah College of Art and Design, (SCAD). Throughout the program I was able to  cultivate skills gleaned from professional illustrators working and thriving in the illustration industry. I earned my first MFA degree at National University in Creative Writing. These degrees, coupled with my years experience as an Early Childhood Professional, enable me to instill a love for reading and creativity in children. I treasure each opportunity to encourage, and hear the laughter of children, which sparks a fire and gives me hope and a purpose.
